- Introduction to Programming Using SML, Addison-Wesley
- Object Oriented Programming in 21 Days, SAMS Teach Yourself
- Great book. It got me up to speed on OO technology. It uses Java for code examples. I can recommend this book if you're new to OO.
- Professional PHP4, Wrox Press
- Great book! Deals with advanced topics on PHP4. My friend Martin Geisler (Gimpster) has written a chapter in this book, so hurry up, go buy it :-)
- C# Unleashed, Sams Publishing
- Great book that get's you up to speed with the C# language. Some subjects aren't covered extensively (eg. ASP.NET and winforms), but can be used as a quick starter.

- Professional ADO.NET, Wrox Press
- Applied Microsoft .NET Framework Programming, Microsoft Press
- Explains all the nifty gritty details of the .NET Framework including Assemblies, the CLR (Common Language Runtime) and other subjects. Highly recommended book!
